Overview

JOB PURPOSE:

The Security Training Administrator (STA) oversees the strategic and operational planning, organization and implementation of departmental-wide security task oriented training. The STA is responsible the for the review, assessment, development, management and execution of the training objectives, lesson plans, training materials and instruction, and training is in comformance with established training standards. The STA ensures training standards, practices and procedures are current and in alignment with federal, state or Osage Nation law when applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be qualified and experienced to instruct C.L.E.E.T. (Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training) Security Levels I, II and IV.
  • CLEET Instructor Development Basic required and Advanced Instructor development preferred.
  • Be able to train security personnel on other less lethal munitions, techniques and basic security oriented tasks.
  • 10 years prior experience in law enforcement required, with military or civilian security services preferred.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification required (within 6 months of hire).
  • Must be able to pass background check, with no prior convictions of any felonies.
  • Tribal preference and Native American Indian preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Osage Nation Gaming License.
Responsibilities

GUEST SERVICE:

  • Provides excellent internal and external guest services, treating all guests with courtesy and consideration at all times.
  • Cooperates and communicates with all employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image and attitude.
  • Monitors production and service levels by interacting with guest and staff

COMMUNICATION:

  • Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, company newsletter and internal security information systems.
  • Makes efforts to keep informed of security departmental information and communications.
  • Effectively communicates concerns and information to supervisor and listens to communication from supervisor.
  • Effectively relates ideas for improvements to supervisor and management in accordance with chain of command.
  • On an individual basis or in a group format, explains why, shares information, and communicates the purpose of decisions to applicable staff.
  • Ensures company information provided by management is effectively communicated to assigned staff and ensures staff concerns, requests for information, and ideas for improvement, are effectively relayed to management.
  • Provides assistance to civil and law enforcement authorities in accordance with policy, regulation or law to include providing testimony in court or administrative hearings.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

  • Monitors all relevant activities of the area of responsibility, to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the organization, and the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and the Osage Nation Gaming Commission (ONGC) are understood and enforced by all applicable personnel.
  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, objectives of the Osage Nation, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, ONGR, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.

  • Strong leadership experience with a demonstrated working knowledge of complex and sensitive security operations and systems.
  • Ability to work with individuals at all levels, both from within and outside the organization.

  • Ability to design, develop, and implement training plans, curricula, operational procedures, and policies.
  • Requires skill in preparing instructional aides and plans.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Manage the planning, development and implementation of security based instruction and certifications.
  • Serves as a Training Instructor on all topics of security and other related matters.
  • Identifies and implements revisions to course content or instructional materials as necessary to improve training curriculum effectiveness and quality.
  • Evaluates training effectiveness to ensure training objectives have been met and maintains records of each training class.
  • Manage and monitor all training records.
  • Manage and assist qualified instructors with the implementation, and maintenance of departmental training, training curriculum, training systems, equipment and records..
  • Present a positive image and maintain excellent communication skills, which shall include both oral and

  • Work is typically performed within the Casino and/or Casino Hotel setting. Some work is performed in an outdoor setting with exposure to natural weather conditions.
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke.
  • Exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
  • Exposure to risks associated with travel between properties and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands.
